In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 January 2026 at 3:20 PM, a report stated that four men with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Madaya Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Thiha (50 years old), Ko Nyi Min Ko (27 years old), U Aung Win Myint (47 years old) and U Thant Zin Oo (42 years old). All were members of the People’s Militia Unit and residents of No. 5 Ward in Madaya Township. According to the investigation, at 2:40 PM, on the same day, while the victims were cutting firewood near Ta Ngar Myauk Village, U Thiha stepped on a landmine planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
