The All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation (Central) and the All Myanmar Hindu Priest Association (Central) jointly organized the Special Training Certificate Presentation Ceremony for Hindu Pujaris, which was held at 10 am yesterday at the Indian Culture Centre on Shwebontha Road, Pabedan Township, Yangon.
Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur, an Indian priest and officials first lit the auspicious lamp.
Chairman U Maung Myint of the All Myanmar Hindu Priest Association then delivered a welcoming speech, followed by speeches from the Indian ambassador, an Indian priest, President U Tin Myint of the Hindu Religious (Central) Federation, General Secretary U Chit Win of the All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation, and President U Maung Maung of the Thananta Dhamma Palaka (Hindu) Federation.
Afterwards, the Indian ambassador, an Indian priest, and officials presented the trainees with their certificates of completion, and the secretary of the All Myanmar Hindu Priest Association (Central) delivered a vote of thanks.
The course was held from 5 February to 5 March, and 50 participants attended. — MNA/TH
