Organized by the Myanmar Football Federation, the MFF summer football skills course 2026 opening ceremony was held on 11 March at the Academy Artificial Turf in Yangon.
It aims to help young Myanmar people spend the summer holiday fruitfully and encourage the next generation of football players to appear. At the opening ceremony, Myanmar national football players and guests kicked the ball to open the course. The unpaid course will be conducted into two batches for this year in Yangon, Mandalay, Taunggyi, Pathein and Mawlamyine- the first batch is scheduled from 9 March to 8 April, and the second batch is scheduled from 20 April to 20 May and youths between 10 and 15 years old will be accepted, plus training uniforms will be provided free.
Altogether, 500 trainees in Yangon, 400 in Mandalay and 200 in Taunggyi, Pathein and Mawlamyine will be accepted. In addition, a futsal training course has also been planned to open in Yangon, and 200 trainees will be accepted.
This course is mainly designed to encourage children who have a passion for sports and wish to spend their summer holiday happily, under its theme “learn, play, enjoy”. — MT/ZS
