  • YBS to operate 130 buses in Yangon during Thingyan at regular fares

The Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) has announced that a total of 130 buses from the Yangon Bus Service (YBS) routes will operate within Yangon during the Myanmar New Year Thingyan Festival period.
During the festival, from 13 April (the eve of the festival) to 16 April (the final day of the festival), YBS routes including YBS 37, YBS 43, YBS 62, YBS 72, YBS 87, YBS 88, YBS 89, YBS 106, and YBS 107 will run a combined total of 130 buses.
It is also reported that the respective bus operators have been instructed not to charge higher fares during the Thingyan period and to collect fares at the normal rates.
During the 2025 Thingyan festival, more than 1,000 buses from over 60 YBS routes operated across Yangon. — ASH/MKKS

A tragic accident took place in Dindori, Inida where a car fell into an open well on Friday night, killing nine people.
