  • 'Intense and constructive negotiations' have ended: Pakistan FM

Pakistan's foreign minister on Sunday insisted Washington and Tehran must uphold a ceasefire agreement, after marathon talks between the two sides to end the war in the Middle East ended without an agreement.  The Foreign Minister also said Pakistan helped mediate several rounds of intense and constructive negotiations between the US and Iran.

He added "they hope that the two sides continue with a positive spirit to achieve durable peace and prosperity".

"At the invitation of China’s top diplomat Wang Yi, Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov will pay an official visit to China from April 14 to 15," Beijing's foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said a press conference. Lavrov will hold talks with China's top diplomat Wang Yi in which the two will "exchange views and coordinate positions on the development of bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, and international and regional issues of common concern", Guo said.
