  • Myanmar to compete in Sepak Takraw World Cup 2026

The Myanmar Sepak Takraw team will compete in the Sepak Takraw World Cup 2026 to be held in Malaysia from 16 to 23 May.
The tournament will feature three event categories, and Myanmar will take part in all: the quadrant event, the regu event and the team event. The team began training in mid-March and also allowed players to compete in a Sepak Takraw tournament held at Myanmar Plaza after the Thingyan period as part of preparations. The competition will include many strong teams, and it will mark Myanmar’s first international tournament since the XXXIII SEA Games in Thailand.
The Myanmar squad includes manager U Myint Lwin Htay, coaches U Kyaw Min Soe and U Aung Myo Swe, and players Zin Min Oo, Thant Zin Tun, Aung Myo Kyaw, Chit Lunn Po, Shane Wunna Zaw, Yan Paing Oo, Min Thant Thu, Han Win Htut, Ye Htet, Aung Aung, Thet Paing Soe and Shin Thant.
For the quadrant event, Myanmar will field Zin Min Oo, Thant Zin Tun, Aung Myo Kyaw, Chit Lunn Po, Shane Wunna Zaw and Yan Paing Oo. For the regu event, Min Thant Thu, Han Win Htut, Ye Htet, Aung Aung and Thet Paing Soe have been selected.
