The Myanmar–India Business Dialogue was held in Mumbai, India, on Wednesday. President U Min Aung Hlaing attended the event and delivered a speech highlighting investment opportunities in Myanmar.The President expressed Myanmar's interest in importing iron and steel products, cement, medicines, fuel, solar energy equipment, and related items from India, while exporting beans and pulses, oilseed crops, marine products, forest products, garments, rice, and rubber products to India.He also emphasized the importance of promoting cooperation in sectors such as tourism, healthcare, education, agriculture, livestock breeding, oil and gas, industry, transportation, communications, and information technology. Indian entrepreneurs expressed interest in technology, bio-energy production, mineral exploration, agricultural machinery, and fertilizer production. India ranks as Myanmar's fourth-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade conducted under trade agreements and through border trade routes. Major exports from Myanmar to India include beans and pulses, forest products, marine products, and minerals.During the 2025–2026 fiscal year, Myanmar exported goods worth 1.326 billion US dollars to India, while India exported goods valued at between 600 million and 800 million US dollars to Myanmar, including medicines, petroleum products, chemicals, automobiles and related accessories, electronics, motorcycles, tractors, and tractor parts.
