The film Thabin The Mya Hninsi: The Beginning won the Outstanding Film Award at the Lancang-Mekong International Film Festival held in China. The film was directed by Min Set Thit, who was also responsible for the script and screenplay.
The Beginning was written and directed by Ko Set and Ingyin Han, with the script by Ingyin Han, while director Ko Set oversaw production under Sein Htay Film Production.
Thabin The Mya Hninsi: The Beginning was selected to represent Myanmar at the Lancang–Mekong International Film Festival, which was held in Yunnan, China, from 27 November to 1 December. The film won the Outstanding Film Award at the festival’s Best Film Award ceremony, according to director Min Set Thit.
The film stars Htoo Myat, Henry San, May Mi Ko Ko, Cindy Myat, Min Ar Kar, Gu Gu, Yun Tha Da Han, Than Sin Phyo Paing, and many others. The film was released in cinemas nationwide in September 2024. — ASH/MKKS

The Myanmar national futsal team will compete in the 2026 ASEAN Futsal Championship to be hosted by Thailand, and will open their campaign against Vietnam.The tournament will be held from 6 to 12 April in Nakhon Ratchasima. Group A comprises Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Timor-Leste, while Group B includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and Brunei. Group matches will take place from 6 to 9 April.
