Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, accompanied by concerned officials, visited Minbu General Hospital on Thursday.

They met with the medical superintendent, specialists and healthcare personnel and coordinated necessities. Upon arrival at Magwe General Hospital, the Union Minister and party inspected the arrangements to construct a new 5-storey ward, coordinated requirements on systematic construction process in timely manner and oversaw the wards and departments.

 Then, the Union Minister met with the medical superintendent, specialists and healthcare personnel and made discussions on better healthcare service.

A graduation and job assignment ceremony of the 22nd batch at the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Yangon) took place on Thursday.Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Phone Myat attended ceremony and made a speech. Since the college’s opening, it has produced a total of 3,541 graduates, including 731 Arts degrees, 1,552 Science degrees, 135 B.Tech, and 1,123 AGTI diplomas.During the ceremony, outstanding students in Arts and Science were awarded, and graduates received their job appointment letters. The Union Minister also inspected the college’s sports facilities, engineering workshops, dormitories, and future construction sites. Social Security Board under the Ministry of Labour is providing social security services to the insured workers in healthcare and technology supports.On Thursday, field medical treatment was provided for the officials and staff of Myanma Railways Headquarters and Locomotive Shed in Nay Pyi Taw by two Mobile Medical Units-MMUs. To widely inform parents and the public about the school enrolment week, the posters bearing the motto “Let’s Enrol All School-Age Children for Sustainable Development of the Country”, were erected yesterday morning at schools in Myeik.The posters bearing the motto “Let’s Enrol All School-Age Children for Sustainable Development of the Country”. measuring six feet by three feet each, were erected at BEHS 1, BEMS 5 and BEHS 5 by township management and administration committee chairman U Pyi Hein Kyaw, district education officer U Than Htike, departmental officials, headteachers, and teachers.The school enrolment week is from 25 to 31 May, and officials will continue installing awareness posters and notices to widely inform parents and the public, including instructions for principals and teachers, appeals to parents and guardians, enrolment campaign notices, and information related to school enrolment activities. The schools are scheduled to open on 1 June nationwide.According to the Township Education Office, preparations are currently underway at various schools in Myeik township to enable students to attend classes for the 2026-2027 academic year.
